Publicist

Fitzcarraldo Editions is looking for a full-time publicist based in our Deptford office. The publicist will work closely with the publisher, associate publisher and publishing assistant to manage publicity and communications for Fitzcarraldo Editions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include leading press campaigns for a dozen books published each year, organising and leading author tours, coordinating with colleagues on marketing initiatives (including selling books at book fairs, online sales, etc.) and publicity for our smaller US list. The position will suit someone able to work as part of a small team but also willing to use their initiative, with good communication and organisation skills, an aptitude for social media and engagement with online communities, an ability to work well under pressure, and good attention to detail. Industry experience in publicity is essential.
