Key Account Executive: Supermarkets

Hachette UK, one of the UK’s leading publishing groups, is seeking an enthusiastic, organised Sales Executive to join the busy Sales Department. We are looking for a true team player, who can make a real contribution to a dynamic department.

 

The role is a crucial part of the UK sales team and you will work across the following divisions: Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray Press, Quercus, Headline and Hachette Children’s Group. You will ensure that customers receive the best possible information, selling material and general support. You will play a key part in recording and processing orders for a variety of supermarket customers, and will also be responsible for ensuring all sales and marketing material is distributed to the department. You must be able to accompany the Key Account Managers to customer meetings and help them both with presentations and follow up actions.   Analysis of customer sales performance will also be part of the role. 

 

You will need to be organised, efficient and self-motivated. You’ll be calm under pressure and able to prioritise work across various accounts and businesses. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with both colleagues and customers. You’ll also have excellent excel skills, able to work on your own initiative and have a determination to get the job done. Attention to detail is essential.

 

You’ll also be a specialist in the Sales Team for Headline, have a full knowledge of the list and be a resource to the rest of the team with general queries. As part of this you will run the trade marketing program of Headline High Street in conjunction with the marketing team and be able to use your creativity and social media skills.
