Digital Key Account Executive
Hachette UK is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Digital Key Account Executive to join its busy team. You will work across three divisions - Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray Press and Hachette Children’s Group - selling books by authors as diverse as Stephen King, Jodi Picoult, John Grisham, Gordon Ramsay, Joe Sugg, Nadiya Hussain and Cressida Cowell.
The role is a crucial part of the UK sales team, contributing to both its digital revenue and strategy. The Digital Key Account Executive has account management responsibility for a number of digital Key Accounts, including Apple, Kobo and Google, and will assist in the account management and day-to-day administration for Amazon and Kindle. Besides achieving digital budgets, key responsibilities include: pitching new titles, submitting titles for promotion, collating sales materials, managing stock, updating metadata and reporting on digital activity.
You will need to be organised, efficient and self-motivated, as well as calm under pressure and able to prioritise work for multiple accounts and businesses. Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with colleagues and customers, you will have the confidence to pitch and present new books. You will have excellent excel skills and the ability to analyse complex numerical data. Attention to detail is essential.
This is an exciting role for somebody eager to help shape the company’s digital strategy and make their mark in digital publishing. Previous publishing experience is not required but a passion for books and an interest in the changing digital landscape are both essential.
