Hachette Children’s Group, a division of Hachette UK, publishes a huge range of books for children and young people from the ages of 0 to 18. Our stable of author and illustrator talent includes Cressida Cowell, Leigh Bardugo, Patrice Lawrence, Juno Dawson, Francesca Simon, Dermot O’Leary, Onjali Q. Raúf, Matthew Syed, Bryony Gordon, Giles Andrae, Lauren Child, Kes Gray and Jim Field, to name just a few. We are also the owner of Enid Blyton Entertainment.

The Hachette Children’s Group PR Team is responsible for delivering creative, strategic, results-driven campaigns for our books, across new launches and established, bestselling authors and illustrators.

What you’ll be doing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR Manager to join the Hachette Children’s Group PR team. This is a senior campaigns role in the PR department. Under the management of the Head of PR, the PR Manager will be responsible for planning, presenting and implementing campaigns to deliver industry leading publicity for their title allocations across all ages of publishing: picture books, middle-grade, teen and YA fiction & non-fiction publishing. working across all ages of publishing: picture books, middle-grade, teen and YA fiction & non-fiction publishing.

Your campaigns will deliver maximum exposure and sales of the titles through all channels and markets for Hachette Children’s Group. You will also lead on some key areas of team responsibility, for example taking on a liaison role for one of the key literary festivals.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will be an experienced PR professional, with solid comms experience in the book trade or for a senior campaign role.

You will be creative and self-motivated and have a strong track record of developing and implementing PR campaigns. You’ll be confident delivering activity across media and in events, using your network to benefit your plans.

This is a broad and varied role, and we are looking for somebody who will embrace working collaboratively with teams across the organisation. We need you to bring a positive, can-do approach and build strong relationships internally and externally.

We’re looking for someone highly motivated, resourceful, adaptable and creative, who will bring new ideas and a passion for children’s publishing.
