Designer - Macmillan Children’s Books

Campbell Books, the pre-school imprint of Macmillan Children’s Books, is looking for an enthusiastic and creative designer to join its creative team. 
 

The ideal candidate will be creative and highly organised, brimming with innovative ideas and have a strong understanding and knowledge of children’s illustrated books. Ideally you will have at least two years experience working specifically on pre-school and novelty books.
 

You’ll be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, have strong typography and layout skills and be adept at commissioning illustrators. Drawing and hand-lettering skills would be a bonus and paper and card engineering skills and an understanding of working in 3D are essential. 
 

You’ll be able to work on all aspects of a book’s production from initial concepts through to delivery of repro ready files, and be effective in a small team managing a heavy workload, often to tight deadlines.
 

The position is full time and is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
