Marketing Manager, Penguin Random House Children's

Could you take our Children’s brands to new heights?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the award-winning Penguin Random House Children’s team. This role will focus on growing the reach of our primary brands. You could be managing campaigns from a host of household names such as Wimpy Kid, Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson and Terry Pratchett, plus in 2017 we have some very exciting debuts to launch…

The goal of the marketing team is to grow the Children’s business through targeted, consumer-focused campaigns. You’ll think commercially and strategically about your audience, and then be able to reel them in with a clear hook for each of your campaigns – both on, and off-line.

You’ll be a master of copy and design, creative, innovative and organised with the confidence to implement a campaign from concept to delivery.

Juggling projects across a variety of brands, you’ll also work closely with colleagues across the marketing and PR team, the Children’s division as a whole, as well as brand partners externally.

You don’t need to have worked in publishing before, but solid experience of marketing big brands in the Children’s market would be a big plus. Digitally-savvy, you’ll be able to show a track record of running successful integrated trade and consumer campaigns.

Experience of working with brand partners would be an advantage, and you’ll be able to show how your communication skills have helped you influence and engage those around you – both in the day-to-day as well as in presentations and team meetings.

And finally, you’ll be hugely passionate about understanding children, parents and teachers in order to reach and engage our readers in new and innovative ways.

Does this sound like you? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply to us with a CV and covering letter no later than 2nd February 2017.
