Publishing Director, Cornerstone

 

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join Cornerstone imprints Century and Arrow as Publishing Director with responsibility for our commercial fiction list.

 

You will be an experienced commercial fiction editor, ideally with some expertise in crime and thriller publishing. You’ll combine the highest editorial standards together with commercial nous, compelling pitching and negotiation skills and will be able to juggle a busy workload under pressure.

 

You’ll be a member of the Cornerstone Executive Board, and will be managing a team of editors, so being able to get the best out of those around you will also be an important part of this role. Reporting to the Publisher, and with the support of the Marketing, Publicity and Sales departments, you’ll be responsible for acquiring new authors as well as leading, commissioning and strategizing across the fiction list.

 

Finally, you’ll be great at connecting with people. Authors, agents and colleagues alike will want to work with you and you’ll demonstrate the energy and grit to drive each one of your books to the top of the bestseller lists.
