Senior Production Manager, Production

We’re hiring for an experienced Senior Production Manager to produce books for the Vintage and Cornerstone division, home to the likes of Haruki Murakami, Yuval Noah Harari, J.M. Coetzee and Jo Nesbo.

As team leader for the Vintage division, you’ll be responsible for the overall production of our Harvill Secker, Square Peg, Business Books, Unbound and Random House Book imprints.

This is an important role in a busy team, and you’ll have the opportunity to produce a diverse range of books from UK black & white production through to multiple format colour books sourced in Europe and the Far East.

Reporting to the Divisional Production Director for Vintage and Cornerstone, you will be work on all sides of the production process including costing, scheduling, origination, print management, quality control and general problem solving. 

You’ll be a positive self-starter with a creative eye, in addition to being experienced with book production, including pre-press, paper and print suppliers. Familiarity with the Biblio system is a definite plus.

You’ll also use your leadership and communication skills to manage a team of four production controllers who handle production for various Vintage imprints.
