Designer, Penguin General & Michael Joseph

Do you judge a book by its cover?

Would you like to work on covers for books by brand established authors such as Zadie Smith, M.J Arlidge, John le Carré and James Oswald to name a few.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, highly creative and enthusiastic Designer to join the Penguin General/Michael Joseph Design team to work on book covers for their mass market and literary fiction book titles.

You will need to demonstrate good design and typographic skills, have lots of imagination and be a good communicator. The ability to work under pressure is essential in this role as you will be working with the design team on a variety of projects.

Previous experience of working on and designing book covers is a must, as well as having excellent knowledge in a broad range of Mac skills (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).

Your CV should also include a link to your online portfolio. The closing date for applications is the 4th November.
