Marketing Executive, Transworld

Are you a creative marketer with a digital mindset?

Can you create innovative campaigns for some of the world’s best authors and brands?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to create digitally driven campaigns as part of a large marketing team who love to share ideas and our love of books.

At Transworld we publish a diverse range of books and authors across fiction and non-fiction including the likes of Dan Brown, Lee Child, Sophie Kinsella and Chloe Madeley.

From day to day, you’ll be working closely within the marketing team to deliver strategic campaigns that will position our authors in the digital space, making them as discoverable as possible online.

Combining your creativity with your analytical skills, you’ll manage digital campaigns across social media platforms. You’ll have a head for data and work closely with the team to report on our campaigns, highlighting what’s working and more importantly, what isn’t.

You’ll use your analytical skills to tweak and optimise discoverability of our books on Amazon, making sure that our Amazon shop window is as strong as it can be for our upcoming books and catalogue. You’ll also be involved in our ebook strategy, tweaking and optimising campaigns to help us hit number one in the Kindle charts.

You’ll have a knack for social media, not just understanding how it works, but how to reach an audience and what makes people sit up and listen, creating social schedules for our authors and setting up social media advertising across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

You’ll bring bags of enthusiasm and ideas to each campaign, using your initiative to make the most of your budget, however great or small. It goes without saying you’ll have a passion for books, and you’ll always be identifying great hooks that you think readers will really respond to.

Your skill set will include a good eye for detail, an understanding of Facebook ads, and copywriting. If you can use photoshop, that would also be beneficial but not essential.

We offer you support to bring your best to the team, with training provided to enhance your skills. We are part of Penguin Random House with all of the career opportunities that come with being part of a large organisation and all of the benefits of being in a small, distinct and successful part of that organisation.

With at least 1 -2 years of marketing experience under your belt, you might be an assistant looking for your next step, or you may be at the rung above and ready for a new challenge.(Our current offices are based in Ealing and will be moving to zone 1 central London in 2020)

Please apply with your CV and cover letter no later than 5 June 2019.
