We’re looking for a Publicity Officer to join the Self hub at Ebury. Spanning the iconic imprints Vermilion and Rider, the Self hub ranges from psychology and parenting to mindfulness and spirituality, with authors including Marie Kondo, Brené Brown, Tim Ferriss and Edith Eger.

If you have some experience executing PR campaigns, this is an excellent development opportunity. You will both run your own book campaigns and support on more high-profile ones, learning from the wider Ebury Communications team. You’ll have exciting ideas for launching both debut and established authors across print, digital, broadcast, events and partnerships, and maintaining a readership.

You’ll need exceptional people skills to work with authors, agents, media and influencers. You’ll be able to build relationships quickly, enjoy the arts of persuasion and negotiation and be comfortable working with people of all seniorities.

Experience handling logistics and related admin will also be useful, whether that’s booking author travel and accommodation, organising events, posting promotional packages out to influencers or processes invoices and expenses.

You’ll also need to be adaptable and tenacious. You’ll be calm under pressure, comfortable with last-minute requests and quick to respond to current events.
