Senior Digital Executive, Transworld

Can you help us reach more people online with our stories?

As our new Senior Digital Marketing executive, you’ll champion our books online using creativity, data and insight to help us reach new audiences for Transworld.

We publish a diverse range of books and authors across fiction and non-fiction including the likes of Dan Brown, Lee Child, Sophie Kinsella and Jason Fox.

You’ll work closely within our marketing team to make sure that our books and authors are as discoverable as possible in the digital space. You’ll use a combination of data insight and creativity to strategically shape our marketing campaigns and ensure we are best equipped to reach our audiences online.

Day to day you’ll create and optimise creative digital marketing campaigns across social media platforms, learning what’s working and reporting back and sharing your learnings. You’ll work on a number of your own book campaigns throughout the year as well as supporting the whole team in delivering digital campaigns. You’ll also lead our content marketing strategy for our books on Penguin, creating content for our books and advising on SEO and content discoverability.

You’ll also work closely with members of the business to develop our ebook strategy, running ads to boost our books up the charts and reacting to changes in the market.

In return, you’ll be at the core of shaping our most inventive book campaigns at every stage. This is a rare opportunity for a marketeer to stretch their creative and communication muscles whilst also applying their analytical skills.

It goes without saying you’ll be enthusiastic about books and digital media. Influencing, questioning, and communication will come easily to you – you’ll be approachable and able to advise team members using both data and creativity.

You’ll have recent experience using consumer insight and data to create effective digital campaigns and will be confident setting up and optimising social media campaigns, creating website content and will have a good understanding of SEO.

While a love for books is essential, a great attitude, brilliant ideas and the drive to break new ground are all more important than experience in publishing.

We offer you support to bring your best to the team, with training provided to enhance your skills. We are part of Penguin Random House with all of the career opportunities that come with being part of a large organisation and all of the benefits of being in a small, distinct and successful part of that organisation.

If this could be your perfect next step, please apply with your cover letter and CV no later than 6 June 2019.
