Foreign Rights Manager, French language

Quarto is looking for a dynamic, highly organized Foreign Rights Manager to join our Foreign Rights team.

 

The Quarto Group is the leading global illustrated book publisher and distribution group and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Combining the might of a major and the creativity of an independent, Quarto creates more than 600 adult and children's books a year. These books are sold by the Quarto Foreign Rights team into more than 45 countries and in more than 35 languages.

 

You will be responsible for reaching and exceeding French language sales targets across a number of lists by increasing business with existing customers as well as actively expanding the client base.  You will be based in London and will travel up to 10 weeks a year and have the ability to provide and share useful customer feedback and market feedback on trends that Quarto can publish into.

 

A determined, positive and efficient sales person, you will have foreign rights/international sales experience and outstanding communication, sales and negotiating skills in both French and English.  You will know how to build and maintain superb customer relationships and have the commercial awareness to identify sales opportunities and close deals. You will need to be highly organized, work well autonomously but also as part of a team, and be able to collaborate effectively with internal colleagues to ensure that co-editions are contracted, delivered and paid-for according to agreed terms and conditions.
