Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, and in the UK is home to authors and illustrators including Philip Pullman, Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffler, Liz Pichon and Dr Christian Jessen, and series including The Hunger Games, Horrible Histories and Captain Underpants. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our London team as an Editor.

 

You will support the Publisher and Non-Fiction and Licensing team in the commissioning, project-management and editing of new titles in a timely and efficient manner.You will contribute to new title development and commission, develop, project manage and edit new titles for Non-fiction and Licensing lists whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.

 

With strong editorial experience and solid market awareness and knowledge of other lists.

 

you will be a self-motivated, highly organised individual who deals efficiently with varied workloads. A calm, flexible individual is required who can solve problems in an efficient manner with an ability to brief and work efficiently with authors, illustrators, designers and other creative talent.
