Licensing Executive

Silvergate Media is a creative TV production and licensing company based in London.  Our focus is on children’s TV content and we exploit our properties across a range of formats, from new television productions to toys, apparel, licensed merchandise and live interactive experiences.  Our portfolio of world-class brands include The Octonauts and Peter Rabbit.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Licensing Executive to join our small, busy office.  The role is to support a global head of sales, finalising licensing deals and seeking out new business opportunities.  Management of specific territories is envisaged, dependent on experience.  

The ideal candidate will be bright, ambitious, keen to learn and well organised.  You will have good negotiation and presentation skills, and a keen attention to detail.  You’ll also possess a strong motivation to meet sales targets.   Preferred candidates have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a licensing or rights role.  This could be an outstanding opportunity for a rights executive or manager looking for a step up, keen to expand beyond publishing into consumer products and content licensing.  Foreign language fluency desirable, as is some experience managing overseas agents.   We are a small team, so you also need to have a flexible, hands-on approach to the role.
