Books Account Manager – EMEA & APAC

A leading scholarly publisher is looking to hire a Books Account Manager for the EMEA and APAC regions to manage channel sales and business development activities.

 

Reporting to the Head of Book Sales the Books Account Manager will join the Commercial Operations department and become responsible for growing revenue according to targets and business plan objectives.  The key responsibilities include;

 

  • Generating sales through direct and indirect sales.
  • Line management of the Books Account Executive.
  • Identifying new channels for sales by developing relationships with key decision makers.
  • Forming key account relationships with customers and agents.
  • Attending key conferences and undertaking frequent sales visits.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure publications commercial success.
  • Analysing the market to inform the overall business strategy.
  • Providing feedback on current and emerging markets to the Head of Books Sales.
  • Supporting the Head of Book Sales in all activities relating to Books Channel sales.

 

This opportunity will suit someone with strong commercial acumen and sales experience in the publishing arena as well as in a competitive international sales environment.  Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills are essential in order to represent the department within the company and at industry events.
