News Journalist

The Bookseller is recruiting for a news journalist to join its busy editorial team. Reporting to the news editor, the job involves sourcing and writing news stories across The Bookseller’s channels, including print, web and email.

The prospective candidate should have completed an NCTJ-recognised course in journalism, have shorthand, and be able to demonstrate an interest in the book trade. The role would suit someone looking for a first-job or with limited experience of working in a newsroom or news website.

The Bookseller has been the business magazine of the book industry since 1858. Its news output - whether it is delivered in print, online, via social media or on email - is widely respected for its relevancy, accuracy and timeliness. 

Salary is competitive.
