Bristol University Press was established in 2016 out of the award-winning Policy Press, a leading international social sciences publisher of print and digital books and journals.  BUP has ambitious growth plans and has a unique opening for an ambitious College and Library Sales Representative to join our energetic Sales and Marketing team.

This role will require academic publishing or relevant academic sales experience.  The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence to sell to academics and librarians.  The role requires deep specialist higher education and academic library market knowledge to consultatively sell BUP’s books, journals and digital content on UK University campuses.

This home-based field sales role requires an energetic self-starter able to manage their own schedule and use their initiative to develop and foster commercial relationships with lecturers and librarians to increase textbook adoptions and library holdings of BUP’s books, journals and digital content. The role must deliver an efficient and effective sales support service offering a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, and working collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing team, this critical new appointment will maintain existing business and build new business while establishing a reputation for the new Bristol University Press as one of the country’s leading academic publishers.
