Gerrards Cross Shop Manager

Gerrards Cross Bookshop is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic full time manager with at least 2 years experience as a bookseller.

A passion for books and a keen interest in current titles is essential.  You will be managing a small friendly team in an inclusive manner, whilst liaising closely with the owners of both this shop and our sister shop in Chorleywood.

You will be responsible for ensuring the shop floor and window displays are fresh and relevant, and managing the stock level with efficient supplier returns.
Customer service is paramount to a local independent bookshop and our community, you will be responsible for maintaining its’ current high level through example, training and developing staff skills. 

We currently have excellent relationships with local schools and we are looking for the successful candidate to build on these with author events, book sales and academic book orders. Excellent PC skills essential. Own car preferred.

Competitive annual salary and holiday allowance. All applicants must be available to work weekends.
