International Sales Manager

Hachette UK, one of the leading book publishers in the UK and home to a huge variety of authors from JK Rowling to Ella Woodward, and from Jodi Picoult to the Hairy Bikers, is looking for a new member of the Group International Sales team to look after our accounts in Scandinavia.

 

You’ll be selling the full range of titles from across the UK and US lists to a wide range of customers, from large bookshops to wholesalers to specialist accounts.  You’ll need to be 100% customer focused, with the ability to prioritise the right books for the right accounts, sell them to their full potential, and report back on their success.  As well as a genuine enthusiasm for frequent travel and for meeting accounts, you’ll need to be a strong team player with excellent organisational skills, and commercially astute and aware to ensure our business is as profitable as possible.

 

You’ll need to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and ideally have some experience with BI/data analysis software of some sort.  Publishing and/or international sales experience is a definite advantage, and one or more relevant foreign languages would also be helpful.
