Academic Sales Manager - Benelux

Our client, a growing STM publisher with offices in the USA and UK require a new Academic Sales Manager for the Benelux region, based from their London office.

We are seeking a dynamic sales individual to grow subscription by managing a lead generation and sales efforts in the Nordic regions, primarily by phone communication with about 30% outside travel involved.

As a Sales Manager within the Library Subscription department you will be expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, as well as service current client base. In-depth knowledge of the sciences and scientific research is not a necessity for candidate consideration, but a knowledge of the Academic STEM landscape in the region will be beneficial.

The company are actively disrupting the market with their publication, therefore the ideal candidate will have no problems challenging the status quo. Past victories are important, but more essential is your desire to want to be part of something exciting and new – you will have the opportunity to see your success directly affect the growth of the company.

Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of Sales Experience
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Fluency in languages – Dutch and French
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiating skills and ability to “close deals”
  • Organizational skills
  • Above all, a strong work ethic and self-discipline while still thriving in a thrilling and unique work environment.
