Account Director (Professional L&D)

This is an opportunity for a commercially focused Account Director to join a market leading provider of professional education resources and lead an Account Team responsible for managing a top tier key client. This is a high profile role requiring excellent operational management and strategic development abilities.

Key duties:

• Lead an Account Team of four to retain and develop the relationship with a large key client
• Develop an understanding of the client’s current and future requirements
• Ensure all training requirements are met through delivery of qualifications and programmes
• Manage and maintain relationships with senior-level client contacts
• Advise on all aspects of training content and delivery to meet client’s objectives
• Retain and develop the revenue base through international business development
• Attend regular meetings with clients both in the UK and Europe

Experience / skills required:

• Strong global account management and relationship development experience
• Experience of working in a professional learning & development environment
• Extensive knowledge of training delivery techniques
• Experience of managing large and prestigious clients and managing a mature account
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
• A recognised accountancy qualification or membership is desirable but not essential
