UK Account Executive - Digital HSS Collections

An award winning digital academic publisher is set for further growth and is seeking a UK Account Executive to join their sales team. Our client collaborates with leading libraries and academics in the fields of social sciences and humanities to produce powerful research and dynamic teaching collections.

This is a fantastic field or office based opportunity for a sales professional with experience of selling into higher education institutions to join an expanding sales department offering quick progression. Reporting to the Head of International Sales and supported by a Sales Assistant your main responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve agreed sales targets for the UK.
  • Conduct effective, consultative sales visits.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate customer demonstrations.
  • Manage long-term sales cycles and negotiate with buyers.
  • Support end-users and faculty experts with product demonstrations.
  • Research markets to identify prospective customers.
  • Regular territory planning, forecasting, reporting and CRM management.
  • Work closely with internal and parent company colleagues.
  • Participate in industry conferences.

You will receive training and continued support from a digital publisher who promotes a very collaborative and team focused environment.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need excellent communication, presentation and advanced sales skills. Experience of academic publishing sales is highly desirable as is a passion for the humanities and social sciences, which will be reflected in your education and work experience. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to be proactive, customer focused and work independently when necessary.
