Account Manager

A prestigious scientific publisher and membership body in central London is looking for an Account Manager to join their international sales team. You will be responsible for identifying new revenue opportunities and maximizing sales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sales within STM publishing across their digital, print and licensing portfolio.

Key duties:

  • Maximise sales across the digital, print and licensing portfolio
  • Generate renewal business and use CRM to plan account activities
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
  • Develop relationships with contacts in the academic and corporate sectors
  • Forecast sales and report on sales activity and feedback from customers

Experience / skills required:

  • Sales experience in STM or academic publishing
  • Experience of digital licensing / subscription sales as well as print products would be advantageous
  • Strong consultative sales approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of CRM and database management
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative as necessary
