Account Manager

Are you a practised account manager looking for that next move in digital publishing?

A fantastic opportunity has come up with our client, a professional membership body based in London. They are looking for an Account Manager, with experience gained preferably in a STM publishing or digital sales environment, to maximise sales of their entire digital portfolio and grow sustainable digital subscription revenue streams. This role will be engaging with major accounts and aiming to maximise renewals, as well as identifying new prospects across high-level healthcare professionals, academics and solutions providers.

Key accountabilities:

  • Managing renewal business by scheduling client calls and meetings to develop relationships with key clients
  • Maximising sales across a portfolio of digital products
  • Generating new business by identifying prospect accounts, arranging meetings with senior decision makers and presenting products and solutions
  • Attending external (including international) meetings, conferences, exhibitions and other industry events to gather market and product knowledge, and represent the interests of the company
  • Providing regular reports and analysis on customers and markets, and maintaining CRM records throughout the sales cycle

We are looking for someone who enjoys a consultative selling approach, and who is confident interacting and meeting with clients, and pitching business solutions to key decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of digital publishing solutions such as subscriptions, multi-user packages and bundled digital combinations, and able to communicate complex digital products to customers.
