Acquisitions Manager (Maternity Cover – 10 months)

Our client, a global rights licensing platform, providing a transactional licensing solution for publishers and authors, requires an Acquisitions Manager for a 10month contract.

Key Responsibilities: 

• To sell and process memberships for small to medium sized publishing companies and literary agencies.
• To work from and develop a list of leads, keeping the leads information up-to-date with statuses, contact history and plan for future contact.
• Telesales will be a key aspect of the role as well as sales over email.
• To be able to provide online sales demonstrations as required.
• To liaise with PR & Communications to send regular newsletters and sales e-shots on at least a weekly basis to the publisher and agent sales lists.
• To source new leads, through arranging the purchase and compilation of new leads lists and researching new potential customers.
• Complete processing of new members, invoicing and collection of payments. Also providing after-sales as required.
• Confirm and process annual renewals from existing members.
• Will work to monthly targets for completed sales.
• Support after-sales licensing activities of new members.
• General input into the products and development of a quickly growing technology solutions company.

Experience/Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably including telesales.
• Excellent sales techniques and creating good rapport with potential customers.
• Good at working to targets and in a fast-moving business environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Strong appetite for a challenge, quick development and building a permanent role within a quickly growing company
