Assistant Editor

Do you have a strong eye for detail and a passion for medical publishing and communications? A specialist healthcare publisher based in Buckinghamshire is looking for an Assistant Editor to join their publications team to help promote best practice in healthcare. The role would be remote initially, with possibility for hybrid home/office work once restrictions are lifted. The client is also open to consider part-time.

They're looking for someone who can work collaboratively with internal teams as well as external influencers to lead editorial projects through to publication. Reporting to the Editor, this role will be responsible for:

• Overseeing complete editorial processes for assigned projects
• Proofreading and sub-editing copy as required
• Ensuring all content is accurate, fact-checked when necessary, and in line with house style and quality standards
• Creating content and writing news pieces for specialist and non-specialist audiences for the CMS platform

The successful candidate will be able to work on medical content across both print and online formats and will be confident communicating with stakeholders. Some experience in medical communications or publishing as an understanding of disease terminology is also required.
