Assistant Marketing Manager

We are looking for a marketing professional with solid marketing automation experience, who is looking to take a step up to an Assistant Marketing Manager role.  This position, at a prestigious STM publisher in central London, will provide you with the opportunity to use your marketing skills and knowledge of marketing automation to promote a range of projects, including publications, posters, webcasts and animations to the global scientific research community.

Key duties:

  • Create and implement marketing plans to increase customer awareness and engagement using a range of online and offline marketing activities
  • Work closely with clients to ensure projects are marketed according to expectations, adapting plans as required
  • Drive engagement and develop the webcast programme, exploring ways to best achieve targets
  • Use email marketing automation programmes to ensure accurate targeting and engagement with key audience
  • Manage digital marketing using Google Analytics, Hybris, and social media channels
  • Put together social media advertising/PPC campaigns to increase registrations/brand awareness/engagement
  • Analyse and report on all projects with an emphasis on key metrics/ROI measurements
  • Represent the marketing department at key events globally

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience as a marketing executive of assistant marketing manager
  • Experience of using marketing automation programmes is essential
  • An understanding or knowledge of STM publishing is desirable
  • A solid understanding of marketing principles and implementation across multimedia channels
  • Strong analytic skills, proficiency with spreadsheets/Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience
  • A professional approach and the ability to work in a service orientated environment.
  • Knowledge of web analytics programmes such as Google Analytics would be a bonus
