Associate Editorial Director - UK & Intl. Schools Publishing

Our client, a leading international company that offer content management and digital solutions to educational publishers globally, has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Associate Editorial Director to join their UK operation. Based in their Reading office (flexible working offered) you will be responsible for the UK and International school's business. The Associate Editorial Director will lead the UK and International Schools Editorial Management team and will be responsible for realising the business goals of the UK services team.

This is a strategic position and the Associate Editorial Director will have responsibility for business development, tailoring solutions for clients, operational planning and implementation. The Associate Editorial Director will also manage, grow and support editorial teams to ensure projects are completed to budget, quality and schedule. You will establish strong relationships with customers in the school's market and take part in the strategic business planning process. This role will also work in a matrix relationship with sales, marketing, delivery and product teams in the UK and India.

This is a highly strategic role and the successful person will have extensive demonstrable experience in educational publishing, preferably from a UK or International schools publishing background. You will have strong editorial experience, with experience of developing educational courses and you will have excellent problem-solving skills and financial acumen. Solid people management experience is essential as is the ability to effectively resource plan and deliver high quality solutions.
