Associate/ Journals Publishing Manager

Our client, a leading publisher for the Academic and STM markets based in Oxford is seeking an Associate/Journals Publishing Manger to act as an Account Manager for a list of Heath Science society owned journals. You will be responsible for proactively managing and developing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Account management for a list of journal titles, responsible to the client for the performance of each journal increasing client retention.
• Successful journal development by researching, agreeing and implementing ideas for developing the content, revenue and profitability of titles managed.
• Acting as support to the team in winning new journal business and in developing new revenue streams outside of traditional commissioning.
• Implementing new services, policy changes or other new initiatives for own titles.

The successful candidate will ideally be from an STM publishing or health science background with experience in editorial, production or marketing. You will be commercially aware and have some knowledge of the journal publishing process. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills.
