Bid / Proposal Writer – Government Welfare to Work (remote working)

The UK’s largest provider of skills, training and employment services are looking for an experienced Bid Writer. Our client are looking for someone who has previous Proposal writing and copy writing experience as well as knowledge and understanding of Government-funded Welfare to work and Apprenticeship programmes. This is a permanent role.

Key duties:

  • Support the Head of Bid Management in the creation, writing, and development of relevant Tenders and Bid Opportunities

  • Write proposal content that clearly articulates the organisations value proposition and delivery model whilst working under pressure and to demanding deadlines

  • Liaise with the relevant departments and other internal and external stakeholders as applicable in the creation of Tender/ Bid Opportunities

  • Monitor tender and tracker websites/systems on a daily basis and identify and flag any new market opportunities for the business

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Background from DWP, Job Centre Plus, The Council, or any other training provider, Welfare to work, Apprenticeship, e-learning Educational provider

  • Experience in writing bid responses for employability and Apprenticeship sectors

  • Degree educated or equivalent preferably in English Journalism or Business

  • IT literate with advanced proficiency in Word and competent user of Microsoft Office suite including Visio, Excel, Project and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge and understanding of Government-funded programmes (have a good understanding of the funding streams/models), Government Welfare to Work, Educational Policy, Workforce development and awareness of labour market issues would be an advantage
