Books Account Executive

Guardian Books is a profitable business within our Consumer Revenues department, publishing and retailing book products to Guardian readers and a wider consumer base. We have ambitions to grow our digital books business significantly as a scalable and profitable new revenue stream.

This role reports into the Head of Books and will provide merchandising, publishing and administrative support to the Guardian Books team to ensure commercial targets are met. As a central support role within a small but innovative team, a demonstrable knowledge of books and book publishing is essential.

You will be expected to managing the day to day running of the Guardian’s online bookshop, negotiate with publishers to source appropriate offers for online promotions and seasonal supplements and provide administrative support for the Guardian Books team including stock management, invoice processing and managing relationships with key third party contacts.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in books publishing or retailing with a strong sales or marketing background. You will be confident in managing relationships and highly numerate with the ability to multi-task. Highly organised and efficient, you will also be a comfortable negotiator with excellent communication skills and a demonstrable awareness and understanding of the GNM brand and our core values.
