Books Account Manager - EMEA and APAC

 

Due to continued growth, our client a leading and highly successful publisher of academic books and journals is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Books Account Manager to manage channel sales and business development activities, plus take responsibility for the EMEA and APAC regions for print books and eBook aggregators.

Based in Yorkshire and reporting to the Head of Books Sales, this role is also an extremely interesting and varied Account Management role and is an ideal position for a sales professional who is used to delivering results and who is customer focused.

Core responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Managing global sales agents and ensuring that regional sales targets are met
  • Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities and revenue streams whilst maintaining relationships with existing customers
  • Analyse account performance and contribute to long range revenue forecasts

This is a super role for a candidate who is looking to progress their sales career within publishing and the successful person will have experience of books sales; strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver results and the ability to maintain account plans and a pipeline.  You will ideally have experience of working in a competitive international sales environment in a publishing capacity and experience of managing an agent and distributor network.  You will be commercially-minded with a strong customer focus, able to work in a team as well as individually.

This role is not home based.
