Business Development Executive (Commercial Strategy)

We are looking for a talented Business Development Executive for a leading professional publisher in Hertfordshire. The purpose of this role is to identify the commercial opportunities for the Standards team and undertake market research and engagement to build business cases. We are looking for someone with extensive commissioning skills, market research skills and experience of translating business strategies into product development. Being a good networker and being able to open doors is key.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Researching new topics through market research and networking

  • Building and presenting commercial publishing proposals for standards and associated guidelines

  • Identifying external sponsorship funds

  • Assessing commercial opportunities for new products and services within their existing portfolios

  • Conducting market research with customers

  • Translating market opportunities into commercially viable business cases

     

     

    The successful candidate will be a fantastic planner, critically minded with excellent  and effective influencing and communication skills. In return, the company will offer a good working environment, commensurate salary and commission structure.
