Business Development Manager (STM)
A well-known B2B publisher (STM) is looking for a business development manager to develop new revenue and business models in their offices based in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with solid sales experience within scholarly publishing and an innovative approach.
Key duties:
- Develop new sources of revenue from existing clients, achieving targets
- Bring in revenue through display advertising, email marketing, content marketing, content licensing, lead generation
- Work closely with editors and help customers reaching their audience
- Provide guidelines to build the client database with on-target prospects
- Develop strong relationships with academic publishing specialists
Experience / skills required:
- Solid relevant sales experience within academic/STM publishing with proven track record of achieving targets
- Extensive contact book including publishers, specialist libraries, library services, publishing/research services
- Strong knowledge of academic publishing marketplace and current marketing trends
- Experience of account management and demonstrable understanding of print and online revenue streams
- Experience in new business development with the ability to attract and sustain new businesses
- Strong communicator with solid organisational and IT skills (MS Office)
