Our client is a leading academic publishing company based in central London. They are currently recruiting for a Commercial Sales Executive to join their STM journals department, reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales. The successful candidate will work alongside UK and US colleagues to manage and grow sales of advertising, reprints and supplement content for the journals portfolio through commercial sales channels.
They will maintain current business and drive new business while pursuing sales via conference attendance, client visits and presentations. They will produce sales proposals and pitch these to potential clients. Additionally, they will work with editorial contacts to identify and sell content to specific clients.
The ideal applicant will be a confident communicator - written, in person and on the phone - and have an ability to work on their own initiative and problem solve. They will be well organised and adept at multi-tasking with a keen eye for detail. It is important for applicants to have good presentation skills and a consultative sales approach. A customer focus and computer literacy are also key for this role and for the team.
