Commissioning Editor - 12 month contract

Commissioning Editor – 12 month contract. A highly successful educational publisher, based in Oxford, is looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Editor to join their market leading, primary education team. Working on their successful publishing programme, you will be able to bring energy, enthusiasm and vision to the team and will play a key role in delivering their ambitious  digital and print projects for the Primary schools market.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent communication skills – with the ability to lead teams and build effective relationships 
• Experience, enthusiasm and flair for using and developing cutting-edge digital resources and services within a learning context
• Commercially aware and able to demonstrate the application of commercial knowledge in current and/or previous roles
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• A solid knowledge and understanding of the Primary education market is desirable
• Solid commissioning experience

Experience of developing print resources is also desirable and an understanding of working with Agile principles will be advantageous.
