Commissioning Editor (Non-fiction, Trade)

A rare opportunity has arisen with our client, a long-established and successful independent London-based trade book publishing house, who have asked Think Selection to find a talented Commissioning Editor to join the team to commission commercial non-fiction trade books.

As Commissioning Editor you’ll be responsible for acquiring and commissioning general non-fiction books for UK and international markets with a focus on sport, biography and popular history.

We’re looking for an editor who has plenty of ideas for a popular non-fiction list, with excellent editorial and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced publishing environment.

The ideal candidate will be a non-fiction book editor seeking a step-up to a commissioning role or a commissioning editor looking for their next career move.

You’ll be based a minimum 3 days per week from the company’s offices in London. A competitive salary and company benefits are on offer to the successful candidate.

If this new career opportunity sounds of interest to you, for more details and in complete confidence please send your CV and several titles you’ve acquired to Danny Parnes – danny@thinkselection.com - and please include your current salary. Or you can call Danny on 07958 208817 for an initial, private chat.

Our client has indicated that interviews will commence soon so please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Many thanks.
