Commissioning Editor - Secondary STEM

We have an exciting new opportunity with a leading educational publisher based in Oxford, for a Commissioning Editor across Secondary STEM Subjects. This is currently a remote position, with an option of flexible working in future, potentially part home and part office based.

This role will be working across a range of highly successful and innovative secondary courses for UK schools, collaborating with teaching professionals, industry experts and educational partners to ensure the best quality courses. There is a particular focus on Secondary Maths.

This role will involve implementing a customer strategy to ensure a strong relationship with customers, with an understanding of their needs and market impact on them. The Commissioning Editor will report into the Head of Secondary - STEM, and will work closely with the Maths and Science list Publishers to ensure the projects are delivered on time and to budget.

The successful candidate will be an educational publishing professional with experience commissioning

revenue growing digital resources. This will require solid understanding of the UK Maths and/or Science Curriculum at secondary level, along with the needs of teachers and students in UK schools. This role will also require excellent communication skills, a creative mindset and experience of managing and motivating editorial teams.
