Commissioning Editor/Senior Commissioning Editor

Looking to build your editorial career in Social Sciences and Humanities? A leading global publisher is seeking to appoint a Commissioning Editor or Senior Commissioning Editor to join their successful Scholarly publishing team. Commissioning, campus calling and travel to international conferences are all part and parcel of this exciting role. You will be working on a diverse portfolio of scholarly titles with established authors.

If you have some acquisitions experience, then the company may consider appointing at Associate Commissioning Editor level.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• excellent communication skills

• have some commissioning and list management experience, ideally within academic  publishing

• be experienced at working with authors

• have some experience of people management (desirable not essential)
