Conference Producer - 12 Months FTC - B2B

Are you an experienced and a commercially driven Conference Producer looking to work on a varied and successful series of new topics for conferences with the UK?

We are currently recruiting for a leading media group and seeking a highly motivated Conference Producer on an initial 12 month contract basis to be responsible for the research and production of a series of new topics for conferences in the UK for their flagship magazine series.  The role will involve extensive telephone and face-to face research with industry contacts to develop cutting-edge conference programmes; recruitment of and liaison with top industry speakers; run steering committees for topic enhancement using your excellent project management and interpersonal skills from inception to onsite completion.

Key responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

• Researching and validating each conference
• Assume full responsibility for writing and delivering a conference programme as well as identifying and recruiting speakers relevant to all conference-led events.
• Manage potential speakers, sponsors, clients, event partners and other relevant stakeholders at all stages of conference production process, attending meetings alongside commercial, marketing and editorial teams.
• Manage steering committees.
• Work with commercial and editorial departments to source new ideas for conferences and other events in the UK.
• Work alongside rest of the event team to ensure smooth delivery of all conferences, including onsite management of conference and speaker liaison.

The successful candidate will work closely with editorial, sales, marketing and the logistics team to ensure the commercial success of the conference programme, therefore the successful person will have previous experience in a commercial conference and research B2B environment with a minimum of four years or (8-10 delivered events) with P&L, and have a proven track record. It is essential you possess strong communication and organisation skills; the intelligence to quickly get to grips with a complex event and the integrity to get the most out of speakers, sponsors, clients, event partners and other relevant stakeholders.
