Content Acquisitons Manager, Academic, Berkshire

Our client, a leading publisher of educational and academic material, is looking for a Content Acquisitions Manager to join them. The successful applicant will join a vibrant team at the company’s Berkshire office (commutable distance from Oxford, Reading and London) and engage in the market research, commissioning and content development for a designated subject list. They will be responsible for proposing and implementing digital strategies and will collaborate with sales and marketing teams and Product Developers to work toward producing high quality, market-leading print and digital content.

Commercial awareness and commissioning experience are important for this role, specifically in the Higher Education sector, and the ideal applicant will have demonstrable experience of working with digital platforms. They will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a results-driven, innovative approach to content development and an understanding of industry trends. Within the role, they will be expected to partake in campus calling and be adept at gathering market feedback and applying it effectively.

If you are a strategic and commercially aware candidate with experience in commissioning and product development, ideally from an educational or academic publishing background, do get in touch.
