Content and Communities Editor

 

Pan Macmillan, the Publisher of the Year 2015, is looking for a talented Content and Communities Editor to join the Digital and Communications team in our London office.

A book lover, as well as an idea focussed and creative thinker, with outstanding analytical and communication skills, this role demands a pro-active and enthusiastic team player to be the creative heart and voice for regular content.  You’ll be working across PanMacmillan.com (Adults and Childrens) and Picador.com including community pages, as well as third party sites as part of content marketing and book campaign strategies.

A core member of an award-winning team this role will help develop a deep understanding of user behaviour and audience that can be shared with the business to inform future direction and generate strategies that align with those community user trends and issues.

Day-to-day you’ll be planning, delivering, and evaluating direct to consumer strategy with a special emphasis on community development and outreach. Working alongside the Communications and Editorial Teams you’ll create content that will build and drive engagement as well as gathering insight, analysing and reporting back through the wider business to optimise all activity and inform content strategy, ensuring it’s led by best practice SEO and learnings.

Experience ideally from  a marketing, editorial or agency background

  • Proven experience writing and editing effective content on a consumer facing platform
  • Outstanding creative thinking and writing skills
  • A strong multi-tasker with keen attention to detail
  • The ability to analyse data from Google Analytics and other reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of SEO
  • Proven analytical and reporting skills, ability to condense reports into actionable recommendations for the wider communications team and to demonstrate value and ROI in line with company objectives
  • Possess functional knowledge of HTML/CSS/Photoshop
