Content Development Editor

A global, not-for-profit Educational publishing organisation is looking to appoint a Content Development Editor. The organisation offers curriculum and assessment globally to children and young adults in addition to comprehensive professional development supporting schools and educators. Based in their offices in The Hague, Netherlands, the company offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

The Content Development Editor's main remit will be to guide the writing and development of a variety of curriculum-related content throughout the organisation, in order to enhance the end-user experience and maximise readability while preserving the essence of the message. This includes advising on content structure, internationalisation, translatability, phrasing, word choice, terminology, style (including house style guidelines), with an eye towards potential reuse and input into UX design. This work occurs alongside that of the other content stakeholders (creation, product development and translation).

The ideal candidate will have content development and/or editorial experience in a content delivery environment including dealing with external suppliers and working on a variety of print and online publications. As well as excellent content development and copy-editing skills, time management and organisational skills are key. You will also have confidence with a variety of different technologies supporting traditional print and digital publishing.
