The Position
Book Depository is seeking a passionate and unique Content Marketing Manager to engage with our community of book lovers throughout the world. You will be responsible for developing exciting content, creating editorial promotions, managing our social media channels and contributing to the email marketing programme.
Reporting to the International CRM Manager in this broad and influential role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for books and to become the voice of Book Depository by personifying the brand values.
Working with a wide variety of stakeholders including Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Marketers, Designers and Developers, you will be challenged to excite and engage our customers in over 130 countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging content and promotions across the Book Depository website on all devices, including regular new content launches and seasonal promotional campaigns
  • Develop, manage and evaluate performance-driven promotions utilising a range of channels including PR, social media, website and email
  • Contribute to the email marketing programme, generating content and selecting exciting products for customers to discover
  • Manage customer engagement on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels
  • Drive improvements in SEO through the creation of relevant, engaging content
  • Optimise on-site content campaigns, messaging and navigation through frequent testing and data analysis, documenting the results and sharing best practices
  • Identify opportunities for content efficiency and automation and work cross-functionally to implement them

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing and e-commerce merchandising, executing highly quality online customer experiences
  • Strong Content Development and/or PR experience, with outstanding copy-writing skills in English
  • A passion for books with the ability to identify and leverage exciting trends
  • Previous experience managing social media channels for a major brand
  • Highly creative with proven ability to develop and manage engaging and original campaigns via website, social media and email marketing channels
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
  • The ability to think on your feet and make smart decisions, coupled with excellent planning, prioritisation and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA
  • Experience developing content for on-page SEO, with the ability to measure and improve keyword performance
  • International experience, with additional languages
