Contracts Executive

A prestigious UK publisher is looking for a Contracts Executive to join their small and friendly Contracts Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solid contracts experience within the publishing sector who is looking for a step up and be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts.

 

Key duties:

  • Draft and review a range of contracts for authors, photographer and illustrators
  • Ensure the smooth and effective running of contractual administration
  • Collaborate with the editorial department to answer queries and provide advice for acquisitions
  • Maintain an accurate record of contracts progress efficiently
  • Assist with supervision of the Contracts Assistant

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience drafting, reviewing contracts and addenda within publishing, ideally trade
  • Good knowledge of contractual terms and digital rights
  • Highly organized and ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle queries efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and support the Head of Contracts
