Creative Solutions Sales Executive

Our client, a leading STM membership body based in Hertfordshire requires a Creative Solutions Sales Executive.

This role is for an ambitious, experienced, commercial and customer driven, media sales professional to take direct responsibility for selling a host of multi-platform creative solutions to a portfolio of key agency and client accounts. The focus is on generating new revenue, pitching to new clients and positively developing the client database, as well as building on existing commercial relationships with customers across the range of media activities, print, digital and interactive.

The post holder will be someone who likes to forge long term relationships with clients, with a primary focus on listening and understanding client objectives, tailoring the offering to meet client goals. This is a role for a sales professional who is able to think laterally, suggest ground breaking activity and have experience of pitching multi-platform solutions and lead generation campaigns.

The individual will have experience within the digital space and be able to talk through both on and offline campaigns, have a knowledge of digital advertising and lead generation solutions and excel in creative problem solving.

The individual will be working across a range of engineering sectors and will be required to develop sales strategies and solutions which match and promote the print, online and lead generation media, awards and events opportunities to customers’ marketing needs.

Skills & Experience:

  • Graduate caliber with minimum 3 year’s sales experience ideally gained within a publishing sales environment
  • A self-starter, able to work on own initiative, under the pressure of deadlines and work to targets.
  • A strong communicator both face to face and in written communication.
  • A proven track record in sales, with evidence of achieving targets, ideally in media sales or sponsorship with demonstrable experience of cross platform and creative solution selling.
  • At least 3 year’s client facing sales experience in a business to business environment
  • Tenacious attitude with the ability to build long lasting, highly effective and productive business relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • A confident and enthusiastic presenter and negotiator
  • Sales experience working in the STEM sectors.
  • Enthusiasm for technology.
  • High degree of interest in current business issues and industry trends.
