Data & Digital Controller (12 month contract)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data and Digital Controller to join a leading trade publisher in South West London. You will have full responsibility for the maintenance and development of bibliographic data and be the key point of contact between all departments and external partners. Please note that this is a 12 month contract to start at the end of July.

Key duties:

• Manage digital and print metadata and ONIX feeds, maintaining and developing bibliographic database
• Ensure metadata is correct and accurate, improving quality of data and pushing for Nielsen accreditation
• Liaise and communicate clearly with e-retailers, developers and internal departments on data feeds
• Identify, understand and coordinate development needs to improve database and visibility of eBooks
• Manage the Data Executive and train and support internal users on the database
• Introduce process efficiencies across departments and provide documentations on new systems

Experience / skills required:

• Experience of managing data and of distribution processes within a publishing environment
• Excellent understanding of bibliographic data and ONIX is essential
• Advanced level in Excel and database use
• Extremely accurate with an excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Able to communicate at all level with third parties and internal departments
• Analytical and proactive approach to problem solving
