Deputy Editor

A leading magazines publisher, based in Colchester, is looking for a Deputy Editor to join their team. This fantastic opportunity is working on one of their lifestyle interest magazines, focussed on mindfulness, meditation and spirituality, so commercial knowledge of this area would be advantageous. Working closely with the Editor, the Deputy Editor will be responsible for researching, commissioning and writing features, conducting interviews and overseeing photoshoots for content across their print magazines, online content and across social media.

They're looking for someone who is creative, and has worked in a fast paced, environment with content creation. The successful candidate will be confident and organised, and will carry excellent communication skills, as the role will involve liaison with various contributors, as well as other departments. Some work outside of hours will be required as the Deputy Editor will be required to represent the magazine at events and shows, as well as attending meetings.
