Deputy Head of Production

Deputy Head of Production | Education. A leading global educational company, based in central London, is looking to appoint an experienced Production expert to the position of Deputy Head of Production. Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for the timely production and successful delivery of all product from the International list and other lists originating across the group.

• You will manage the team, ensuring best practice and efficient processes and will have responsibility for a significant annual spend.
• Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for ensuring a steady supply of backlist product as directed by Sales Operations
• Having detailed involvement in  the tender and manufacture process for large government ministry orders
• Working closely with the publishing department
• Working closely with contacts internationally to ensure supply requirements for multiple territories are accommodated within initial print runs
• Represent Language Learning and Schools at the Distribution Liaison meetings
• Establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external suppliers
• Continually focus on process improvement

You will have significant senior level production experience; strong line management experience and will be a first class negotiator. Highly organised, you will be able to manage multiple projects and will be able to demonstrate your experience of working internationally across diverse cultures and markets.
